WHO ARE WE

WHO ARE WE

At Afrocenchix, we put your health first—no compromises. Sustainability and ethics aren’t buzzwords, they’re our standard: people and planet before profit.

Haircare should be simple, so we use safe, vegan ingredients that fit easily into your routine and deliver real results.

We understand Afro, coily, and curly hair deeply. Our formulas are made for your texture, but work across all curls and coils—because inclusive haircare is essential.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 2008, two uni friends turned a haircare struggle into a movement after hair loss and eczema from chemical relaxers pushed them to create safer solutions for Afro and curly hair. Using their love of chemistry (and DIY methods), they developed their first product, Soothe Scalp Oil—which quickly sold out at a local fair, proving the demand for better options.

Built on safe, ethical, vegan principles, Afrocenchix has grown into a London-based brand with a cosmetic science team creating products that are science-backed, curl-approved, and community-loved.

Nourishing Curl Set

OUR PRODUCTS

Great products don’t happen by accident. Every Afrocenchix formula is created by our in-house science team, rigorously tested, and made to world-class standards in South Africa. If it’s not safe, effective, and family-approved, it doesn’t make the cut.

You’ll never find SLS, artificial fragrance, or parfum in our products—just formulas that work without compromise.

From Birmingham to 54 countries worldwide, Afrocenchix made history as the first British Afro haircare brand in a major retailer with Whole Foods—proving this is more than haircare, it’s a movement.

ETHICAL PRACTICES

ETHICAL PRACTICES

Ethics aren’t a trend for us—they’re the foundation. Afrocenchix proves you can be sustainable, cruelty-free, and community-driven without compromise. Our vegan-certified products use responsibly sourced ingredients, like organic fair trade shea butter from Ghana.

We support farmers, pay fair wages, and prioritise sustainability with recyclable packaging and plant-based materials.

With goals like Fair Trade and B Corp certification, every purchase supports a better future—because ethical can be premium.
