We Won! Afrocenchix Wins The Consumer & Luxury Rising Star BBBAwards!

The Black British Business Awards (BBBAwards), founded in 2014, celebrates the outstanding performance and achievements of black professionals and business owners in the UK.

On behalf of our entire team, we want to thank our community and the BBBAwards team. We're so proud and thrilled to be nominated and selected as winners. 

"It's an honour and a privilege to win this award! As young Black British women we hope to inspire other underestimated founders and people like us who had to overcome huge barriers to pursue their goals.' says Rachael Corson and Joycelyn Mate, Cofounders of Afrocenchix.
They continue: "The BBBAs do a great job of highlighted overlooked talent. Given that only 8 black women in the UK have been VC-backed in the last 10 years, we're glad to have the opportunity to demystify the process of scaling a company through investment. We believe in equity of opportunity and we intend to hold doors wide open for others as we grow!"

The awards are designed to highlight the significant contributions of the British Black communities to our businesses here in the UK (contributions that are often overlooked) and with everything that's happened this year, winning the The Consumer & Luxury Rising BBBAwards feels even more poignant.
