Lovely products, just not for my hair type.
The products were delivered in time, lovely packaging and pleasantly fragranced. Unfortunately, my hair did not respond to them as I would have liked.

I purchase the moisture surge set every month or so and I previously left a review saying that the bottle pump for the product “Seal” wasn’t working ie it remained in lock position. This was an issue for 2-3 times that I purchased the moisture surge set. Thankfully this month I received a bottle pump that works!! However it seems like the pump has changed so that it no longer has the lock function which means u have to be extra careful when storing it. The ironing all pump was the best - the one that has both an open and lock function. That way I can keep it in my Afrocentric bag without any worry of it leaking. As always, the product itself is great and I do not use anything else on my hair. As a result my hair is thriving!!!!

Unfortunately my daughter didn't like the smell of these products and wouldn't use them. It would have been good to have had a smaller quantity to buy as a trial, as it was a bit of a waste for us.

I have been a regular customer of Afrocenchix for probably around 2 years now. I always top up my Moisture Surge Set whenever it runs out and honestly since discovering it, I have not used any other products to moisturise my hair. My hair feels moisturised from inside out, frizz has been minimised and my hair barely teases as my hair has weight due to being genuinely moisturised. I always recommend the moisture surge set to everyone I know who follows a natural hair care journey like me. The set is a 10/10 for me. The only reason I knocked off 1 star is because on my last 2 purchases, the Pump in the oil (Seal) has not worked. Despite rotating it to the ‘open’ setting, it remains locked and does not pump. I am therefore unable to access the oil from the pump and have to actually unscrew to bottle to access the oil. This is obviously not ideal. I’m not sure what’s been changed or if I’m using it wrong but since I have had the same issue on my last 2 orders I thought it would be important to flag it up. Thanks for producing such amazing products, moisture surge set really is my one and only!

How do I cancel or modify my order?

What distinguishes Afrocenchix formulas from other natural hair care product brands?
Our formulations are made with at least 95% naturally derived vegan ingredients which are scientifically proven to deliver great results for curly hair.

Our favourite remedy for this is the LOC and LCO methods. The acronym indicates the order by which the products (L = liquid O = oil and C = cream) should be applied to your hair. Using this method (with our Moisture Surge Set) after you’ve washed your hair will help you lock in moisture and fix dry hair.
I have just started my natural hair journey, what should I do?
Try our Newly Natural Set with Swish, Swirl and Smooth. This set has the key products you need to get started on your journey, a sulphate free shampoo, silicone free conditioner and a moisturiser/leave-in conditioner. To keep your hair moisturised I'd recommend using The Moisture Surge Set and following the LOC or LCO methods which you can read more about here. The Moisture Surge Set consists of Sheen (moisturising spray), Seal (hair oil) and Smooth (moisturising hair cream).
