R&D Formulation Chemist

Contribute to a growing business by assisting with the formulation of new and innovative, products across Afrocenchix that are aligned with brand’s ethical and sustainable brand values.

Working closely with the management team you will be required to contribute to, and eventually lead on the formulation of new and existing products. Responsibilities will include ensuring that all appropriate testing, procedures and documentation are accurately completed.

The role involves an innovator who has a passion for working within the Afro hair industry and can continually develop and question existing formulations but also someone who has the ability to then scale them up to create commercially viable and desirable products.

Salary: £19-21k (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Events Coordinator

At Afrocenchix we’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need a new creator to manage the events for our award-winning company. We have a growing community and aim to bring them together more often through regular events.

It will be your job to work with our marketing and branding team and community coordinator to design, plan and execute events bringing our company to life!

No two days are the same around here, and we need someone who can adapt and thrive in a changing environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to communicate at all levels and have a flexible, ‘hands-on’ approach with demonstrable experience working in a pressurised environment. Your role is to look after our community and ensure they have an incredible offline experience with Afrocenchix.

Salary: £19-21k (depending on experience)

    Business Development Coordinator

    At Afrocenchix we’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need a new business creator to ethically expand and grow our portfolio of stores which includes Wholefoods UK. We’re looking for a hard-working, competitive and self-motivated individual who wants to grow their career in our dynamic company and has a passion for working within the Afro hair industry.

    It will be your job to work with our wider team, including marketing, to source and engage with new buyers to find and close new opportunities.  

    You will represent Afrocenchix in industry fairs, build relationships with prospective buyers and present Afrocenchix to relevant buyers face to face. You won’t be afraid to open as many doors as possible to reach out to the right decision makers. Working closely with the branding and marketing team you will deliver marketing campaigns, generating income and working to targets. The successful candidate will also need to have flexibility on working hours as travel will be involved.

    Salary: £23-27k (depending on experience)

    Customer Experience & Community Coordinator 

    At Afrocenchix we’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need a new team member to manage our customer enquiries whilst keeping their ear on the ground to our community’s needs. The Customer Experience & Community Coordinator will act as the voice of our brand online and in person; growing, engaging with and reporting on our active community.

    Working alongside our marketing, content and social media teams, you will cultivate our community in order to drive customer loyalty and retention, as well as helping to grow brand awareness and new customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will constantly improve the customer journey to boost satisfaction and meet customer needs.

    Working closely with the events team you could find yourself doing anything from calling customers, responding to customer queries on social media, liaising with bloggers and planning events. It will be your job to look after our community because without them, Afrocenchix wouldn’t exist.

    Salary: £19-21k (depending on experience)
